CHANGE OF DIRECTION OF CHURCH STREET

Notice is hereby given that the direction of vehicle flow in Church Street will change from westbound to eastbound from the 1stof December 2013. This change will be a pilot project where the impact on traffic will be evaluated at the end of March 2014.

VERANDERING VAN RIGTING VAN KERKSTRAAT

Kennis geskied hiermee dat die vloeirigting van Kerkstraat sal verander sodat verkeer van Wes na Oos sal vloei vanaf 1 Desember 2013. Hierdie verandering is ‘n loodsprojek waarmee die impak op die verkeer geevalueer sal word teen die einde van Maart 2014.

DRINGENDE VERSOEK OM WATER TE BESPAAR -  FRANSCHHOEK

Vanweë stormskade aan die Du Toitsrivier varswaterbron word daar tans ‘n probleem met   watervoorsiening in Franschhoek ervaar. 

Personeel is besig met noodherstelwerk aan die beskadigde infrastruktuur.

Tot verdere kennis word alle vorme van besproeiing met munisipale drinkwater verbied.

In die lig van bogenoemde krisis word u vriendelik versoek om u volle  samewerking ten einde  ‘n “geen-water” situasie te vermy.

Indien onderbrekings in die watertoevoer ervaar word, sal water versprei word in die geaffekteerde areas.

Dear Franschhoek Residents

URGENT CALL TO SAVE WATER -FRANSCHHOEK

Franschhoek is currently experiencing problems with the water supply as a result of the storm damage to the Du Toits River freshwater source.

Emergency repair work to the damaged infrastructure is currently underway.

No  municipal potable water  may be used for irrigation purposes.

You are kindly requested to adhere to the above in order to prevent a “no-water” situation.

In the event of interruption of water supply, water will be distributed in the  affected areas.
