Please note: The Devon Valley Landfill Site and Klapmuts Transfer Station will be closed on Friday 25 December 2015 as well as Friday 01 January 2016.
The Stellenbosch Municipality's offices will close at 13:00 on 24 December 2015 and re-open on 28 December 2015. All essential and emergency services as well as internet payment services will operate as normal.

A record crowd of close to 7 000 people attended the Stellenbosch Municipality's Festival of Lights event on 5 and 6 December 2015 on the Braak in Stellenbosch.
The event has evolved over the years to a two-day affair with a free-entry concert on the Saturday where the Executive Mayor, Conrad Sidego switched on the Christmas lights and a "Carols by Candlelight" evening on the Sunday involving local churches and gospel bands . This year's event took place on 5 and 6 December 2015.

The event also provided an opportunity for 43 informal traders to do business as provision was made for stalls alongside the Braak in Bird- and Blom Streets. Food, toys, clothing and other items was on sale at the stalls.
