The Stellenbosch Municipal Council elected Alderman Conrad Sidego as its Executive Mayor on Tuesday, 31 May 2011 at the 1st Council Meeting after the 2011 Local Government Elections. Councillor Martin Smuts was elected as the Deputy Executive Mayor while the Alderman Cyril Jooste leads the Council as Speaker. Ald.
